Multi-Ethnic Mobilisation

This effort is to develop a strategy to focus on mobilising minority ethnic groups in the USA for mission engagement with SIM. The focus ethnic groups are African-American, Hispanic and Asian.

Diaspora Refugee Ministry

With the great influx of immigrants and refugees into the US, many of which represent communities where Christ is least known, we see a tremendous opportunity to show the love of Christ and proclaim the gospel.

Immigrants in urban centres

According to the Center for Immigration Studies, more than 44.5 million immigrants reside in the United States as of 2017. Global movement to the US continues to grow, with large numbers of people settling in urban centres. SIM USA's Culture ConneXions team, mission partners such as Global Frontier Mission and churches minister among these neighbors to build relationships and share the gospel of Jesus Christ.

SIM-Asian Access Partnership for Japan

Over 99 percent of Japan's 125 million people do not know Jesus, making this group the second-largest population in the world that is living and dying without Him. SIM missionaries in Japan serve with Asian Access, working in cooperation with national partners to make disciples who will bless local communities in Jesus’ name. Momentum is growing for a church multiplication movement, with the goal to see 2 percent of Japanese following Jesus by 2023. The 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo brings a fresh opportunity to reach new areas and identify new missionaries, thus building connections and capacity for further expansion.
