South Africa

Our vision is:

  • Making Christ's love known through his people and churches while expressing God's love in communities where He is least known.
  • The people of SIM South Africa growing in their love and knowledge of the Lord to passionately carry out God's call to reach the lost.
  • The people of his church in South Africa proclaiming the Word in faith, actively promoting reconciliation as they embrace diversity, and growing in their passion to evangelise and send servants to least-reached communities.

Communities where Christ is least known

After years of prayer and analysis, we are relocating our office from Cape Town in Western Cape Province to a location near Durban in KwaZulu-Natal. This change brings us into a region that is, by many measures, the least reached in South Africa. We are obtaining a larger facility in a neighbourhood which will enable us to minister to those communities directly from our headquarters. Xhosa, Indian, and Portuguese ethnolinguistic communities, religious groups such as Muslims and Hindus and Amazioni, and international students and workers will all be closer to our centre and more central in our focus.

Prayers

1

Pray for an awakening among South African churches that do not have a history of sending missionaries. Pray they will have effective service in cross-cultural missions.
