Luke & Amanda McAuley
Serving in Kenya
From: United States of America

Who we are:

Luke has a love for the African people from years of growing up in Kenya. Halfway around the world, Amanda's childhood home in Michigan often welcomed visiting missionaries. This heart for cross-cultural missions, that began at an early age, continued to deepen, taking them on multiple mission trips, individually and together. They now look forward to serving with their five children in Kijabe, Kenya. As a pediatric occupational therapist, Luke uses rehabilitative therapy to help children attain skills they need to be as independent as possible. He will serve as rehabilitation clinical supervisor for BethanyKids at Kijabe Hospital and Joytown School. As one of few pediatric neurosurgery
fellowship facilities in Africa, Kijabe Hospital cares for children from many countries. Post-surgery therapy helps them overcome limitations and reach age-appropriate milestones. Luke will help develop a program to train new occupational therapists. He will also work with therapists at Joytown, a nearby public school for children with special needs. Amanda will focus on transitioning their young family to a new home and building relationships in the community. Caring for physical need opens doors to sharing about spiritual healing. God continues to use the work in Kijabe to lead people to Christ. Pray God would use the McAuleys to His glory in this very special ministry.
