Oral Scripture Training (91151)

Oral Scripture Training addresses two primary gospel needs among the East Apurimac Quechua people of Peru: low literacy rates and high percentage of unreached villages. In order for illiterate pastors and church leaders to evangelize their own people and reach unreached villages, they need to be trained in sharing the Bible orally and using the audio Bible.

Objectives

  • One Oral Bible story set created per year.
  • Three main trainings held per year to teach a core group of five the new stories and hear progress of the villages where the stories have been shared.
  • 25 trainings in villages held per year for two years.
  • By the end of the second year, June 2015, fifty villages have been trained in oral stories.
  • By the end of the three-year period, June 2016, the fifty villages have taught the stories to at least one other village.
