care in a Maninka village.

In Guinea, community health education has been an effective way to show God’s love to the Maninka people.

After a series of training sessions to set up the health committee in a new village, the elders were excited about what they were learning. SIM missionary Beth Roberts said, “one chief made a declaration that it was not a religion that we were teaching, but that we are teaching how they can be whole people and experience health in all areas of life.” He then said it is up to each person to decide which way to follow.

Already, there are three men who are voicing an interest in following Christ.

Pray

  • For the training time to equip the new health workers with the skills they will need to care for their people.
  • For God to keep working in this village to open their hearts to his message.
  • For the three men who are interested in following Jesus to fully commit to serving him.
