SIM Canada places people with international experience into urban environments to assist Canadian churches to open new outreach frontiers in an increasingly culturally diverse population. In Canada, local urban churches are struggling to integrate culturally diverse neighborhoods into their congregations. By 2015, from an estimated 32 million people in Canada, 4 million will be immigrants who will reside in urban areas.
Culture Connection missionaries: - Coach churches who are unsure how to minister in a cross-cultural and secular community. - Identify and respond to neighborhood social needs. - Rally the church toward the marginalized. - Network Christian leaders to address community issues. - Equip leaders to contextualize ministry.
Please pray: For more Culture Connections workers. That churches will capture the vision and see the need in their church and their neighborhood. That God would prepare the hearts of those we will be ministering to through these local outreaches.
