Asian Students Open to the Gospel
27 November 2006
God is at work in Central Asia. Here's a glimpse into the lives of three university students as reported by one of our personnel: "Vicky," a seeker, is attending a Bible study group for new believers. When she asked me some hard questions about the Old Testament, I told her she was asking questions as if she were a believer. She answered, "Maybe I have accepted it in my heart." While she is not ready to make firm commitment yet, the Holy Spirit is clearly opening her heart to the truth of the Gospel. "Cheryl" has been depressed because of a difficult situation with her lab supervisor. Recently she was able to change labs. She told me, "I prayed last night, and it came true this morning. Incredible!" A few weeks later she made a commitment to follow Christ. "Mark" came to a Bible study group last year, but he quit because he said he just couldn't believe that God existed. A few weeks ago, he called and asked me to study the Bible with him again. After he graduated and entered the work world, he realized that he, along with everyone else, even those he respects the most, is a sinner. When I asked him if he was ready to believe, he said, "yes." PrayPraise God for the work He is doing in the hearts of young Asian people. Please pray for these three and others, that they will have courage to keep seeking after Christ and to turn their hearts to follow Him. GoThere are openings to teach English and other subjects in Asian universities. Would you like to influence Asian students for Christ? Check out the list of opportunities available in Asia |
