SIM founded Bembereke hospital in Benin 47 years ago. It is now run by the UEEB, SIM’s partner church in Benin, but is still supported with missionary medical help.

Because of its good reputation in neighboring countries, people travel from far and wide to be treated by the doctors at Bembereke. This is resulting in an impossible workload with the current shortage of medical professionals on staff.

There are only two doctors serving this hospital which should be staffed with six. SIM missionary Dr. Judith Jäggi is currently working a grueling schedule of 12 days on followed by two days off.

Pray

  • for God to send more doctors to serve at Bemebereke.
  • for strength for the staff who are serving there.
  • for the many people who receive medical care at Bembereke to see the love of Christ in the staff who care for them.

If you are a medical professional, there is a place for you to serve at Bembereke. Check out the opportunities list.
